Things that I like
Having a sensitive temperature control options is so important when it comes to any form of cooking. By allowing multiple temperatures setting experimenting on new recipes is fun and there is less chance of completely over or under cooking the current meat contraption you have come up with.
Once assembled this bad boy can hit 600 degrees; in less than 5 minutes you can start cooking. You can see the perfect blue flames on all the burners, and the side trays remained cool! Nice even heat allows for wonderfully even cooking of your meat.
Like all the other Weber grills this too comes with a good warranty. Five years is a generous warranty for any product that will be used outdoors. Even if something happens that the warranty does not cover you can order replacement parts from Weber to keep your grill up and running for years.
Things I don’t like
This grill kind of surprised me on one thing that I have not encountered on other Webers. One of my buddies purchased this grill and as we attempted to unpack the box we noticed the instructions had absolutely no written instructions. It was one giant picture book. It took us 2 hours to put this grill together. To Weber’s credit, all the parts were nicely marked in both the picture book and the containers, the parts all fit right into place, and all the holes lined up perfectly. One it was together it was wonderful and up and running in no time.
The only issue my friend has found is with the design of the auto-ignite feature. For some odd reason, they used an piezoelectric start which requires an AA battery. This would not be a problem for most people. He however forgets to cover his grill up pretty often. When it rain the battery compartment fills with water and ruins the battery. After the fifth time of this happening he could not get the starter to work anymore. Weber does not cover this part since the only issue is caused by the operator, but thankfully he was able to put down the external flame and order a replacement part. As long as you cover your grill this should not be any issue.
