The names say it all. This grill was designed with sporty guys in mind. Nothing says being a guy’s guy like bringing the grill to tail gate parties or camping trips. The Lodge Logic L410 pre-seasoned sportsman’s charcoal grill is perfect for this and much more besides.
This grill is made to last. Made out of cast iron the Lodge Logic L410 is both durable, and allows for even-heating on the grills. Your picnics, tailgate parties, or even your back yard will benefit from this portable grill. Measuring 19x10x8 as well as has having a life time warranty will make taking this grill to all of your outdoor adventures stress free and easy.
But! Don’t be fooled by its portability. There is still 17 ¼ x 9 inches of a cooking grate. Not only is this a decent size grate but it is also made of cast iron. Cast iron grates will heat slowly but they will remain hot for a long time. This is much more efficient than steel or aluminum. The grate temperature is also easily controlled by rotating the food away from the heat source.
Heating the Lodge Logic L410 is easy as well. There are two adjustable heights temperature cooking speeds, as well as a draft door that regulates the heat. This means not only can you grill burgers; you can actually warm a pot of coffee or fry fish and vegetables.
The charcoal is also easily accessible by a flip down door located at the rear of the grill. As easy as it is to add the charcoal, it is even easier to clean the grill when you are done. To clean, wash with a stiff brush and hot water.
I would have loved this grill when I was in college. The grill is simply brilliant for people with small spaces or no yards. I know living with a group of guys for 5 years I can shoot myself for all the money we wasted on night after night of pizza when we could have been having steaks and burgers. This grill would have been perfect to toss on the front porch and make the neighbors jealous, or attract the much needed female.
Even after college I could have greatly benefited from Lodge Logic L410 in my first apartment. The size of this grill is spot on. It is really perfect for the person on the go, or someone who needs easy storage. Even in a small apartment you could take this little grill in and out as needed without taking much space or great effort. This is a plus for any apartment dweller.
Now that I have a home of my own, this grill would be a nice addition to the family. Road trips, picnics, and the occasional tailgate would be much more effective, not to mention, have much better food than I bring with now a days.
As portable as the grill is you have to make sure you know what surface you put it on for usage. Because the grill is so close to the ground there can be some issues with heat. I would not want to put this on a wooden deck or even grass. If you are not careful there will be burns on the surfaces or even worse, there could be a fire. Of coarse this is not what you want to do but can be easily avoidable by investing in some bricks to place it on, or to grill on concrete. Even with this concern of overheating the surfaces this grill is worth the money, and the few extra steps it takes to insure the grill will safely provide you with meals, snacks, and drinks as you desire.
